Oman Shipyard operates with the firm belief that a successful business is built on a foundation of occupational health, workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and engineering quality. Our comprehensive Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Management System is fully integrated into every phase of our operations — from the design office to drydocking, heavy steel fabrication, and subsea commercial diving. Our system is certified and audited biannually by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).
Our ultimate operational goal is Zero Harm: zero accidents, zero injuries to personnel, zero damage to the environment, and zero quality non-conformances. We achieve this by conducting rigorous risk assessments before the start of any job, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and enforcing strict compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Every employee, contractor, and visitor at our facilities undergoes safety inductions and is empowered with Stop Work Authority. If any individual detects an unsafe act or condition, they are obligated to halt the work immediately without fear of reprisal until the hazard is resolved.

- ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System): Certified by LRQA. Ensures that our design, estimation, engineering, material procurement, fabrication, and commissioning activities comply with international quality standards.
- ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System): Certified by LRQA. Governs our environmental footprint. We manage industrial waste responsibly, utilize eco-friendly grit and hydroblasting, control emissions, and operate chemical containment zones to protect marine life.
- ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System): Certified by LRQA. Focused on preventing work-related injury and ill health through hazard identification, employee wellness programs, and safety audits.
- IACS Weld Procedures: All welding procedures (WPS) and welder qualifications are certified and witnessed by class surveyors (LR, ABS, DNV, BV) for structural steel and pressure piping.
