Emergency Repair Response
Immediate 24/7 mobilization of salvage engineers, commercial divers, and welding squads
24/7 Critical Emergency Technical Hotline
In the event of a collision, grounding, structural failure, or critical engine breakdown, immediate response is vital to protect the crew, cargo, and environment. Oman Shipyard maintains a dedicated Emergency Repair Response Team (ERRT) comprised of experienced salvage engineers, structural draftsmen, class-certified welders, and commercial divers on permanent standby 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our emergency response teams can mobilize within hours from our yards in Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah, equipped with mobile welding generators, high-capacity salvage pumps, hydraulic cutting equipment, and subsea patching tools. We coordinate closely with port authority emergency control rooms, marine underwriters, P&I clubs, and classification society surveyors to secure the vessel and execute immediate stabilization plans.
Our engineering division can perform rapid structural finite element analysis (FEA) and damage stability calculations to design class-approved temporary reinforcement structures (doublers, stiffeners, cofferdams) to allow safe passage to a repair yard.
Emergency Stabilization & Salvage Support
We deliver comprehensive emergency engineering services to secure damaged vessels under survey:
- Underwater Hull Patching: Wet welding of steel plates, installation of custom underwater magnetic cofferdams over hull breaches, and sea chest blanking.
- Structural Reinforcement: Rapid welding of heavy longitudinal stiffeners and bulkheads to restore hull girder strength after grounding or collision.
- Steering & Propulsion Recovery: Subsea rudder alignment, temporary locking of damaged steering gears, propeller blade trimming, and emergency shaft securing for towing.
- Dewatering & Pumping Operations: Rapid deployment of high-capacity diesel submersible pumps for flood control, tank stripping, and ballast management during salvage.
